The main aim of the Proficiency Tests on detection of Salmonella is to evaluate the performance of the NRLs (National Reference Laboratories)-Salmonella for their ability to detect Salmonella in different matrices in the presence of competitive microorganisms. For this, the EURL (European Union Reference Laboratory)-Salmonella provides per study detailed procedures in a Protocol.
